Two Young Men Killed in ADB Road Accident; Pawan Kalyan Announces Financial Assistance

Date:

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh: Two young men, Arav Mani Kanth and Tokada Charan, residents of Gaigolupadu in Kakinada district, tragically lost their lives in a road accident on the ADB road between Kakinada and Rajahmundry on the night of January 5, 2025. The incident occurred when their motorcycle was struck by a speeding vehicle while they were returning home.

The victims were attending the pre-release event of the highly anticipated Game Changer movie, and the accident occurred despite earlier advice to exercise caution while traveling. In the wake of the tragedy, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

Pawan Kalyan, who also serves as the leader of Jana Sena, emphasized the long-standing neglect of the ADB road, which has been in poor condition for five years due to inadequate maintenance by the previous government. The lack of proper infrastructure, including street lighting, has significantly increased the risk of road accidents on this crucial route. While the current government has started repair work on the road, this incident underscores the urgent need to address road safety concerns.

As a gesture of support, Kalyan announced a financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh each for the families of the deceased. He also pledged additional assistance to help the bereaved families during this difficult time.

This incident highlights the critical need for improved road safety and infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh to prevent such avoidable tragedies in the future.
